In my case that meant switching to the Democratic Party.  I was a life-long Republican, mostly voting as an Independent, but it is “time for a change” and Obama’s desire to directly involve us as citizens to help shape the Democratic Party’s Platform through Community Platform Meetings really impressed me.

BIO:   I recently retired from 20 years of teaching accounting and computer science at Yavapai College at both the Clarkdale and Prescott campuses, both as full time faculty and as staff.  I worked on several YC committees, including as team leader of the Criterion Committee for the NCA self-study accreditation effort and helped with the child care center planning.  I’ve been 48 years in Arizona, the last 28 in the Prescott area.
Prior to my Yavapai College time, for seven years I was the Accountant/Comptroller of the Arizona State Senate, serving under three different Senate Presidents, Republican and Democrat, including US Congressman Bob Stump (deceased).  During that time I was responsible for the Senate budget and the overseeing the financial part of the Senate Reconstruction Project going on at that time.
I am married, had three children (girls), lost one and a previous husband, and now my husband Joe (a local activist) and I together have  four children and four grandchildren.  I am a small business owner in Prescott educating and assisting people with health issues connected with aging, multiple chemical sensitivities, arthritis, mold neuro-toxins and other toxins from our current environment, and the maintenance of general good health using modern, cutting-edge, proven advanced technological devices and nutritional building blocks.

Present:  Member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, Professional Healing Arts Association, Co-founder and Trustee of the Foundation for Asthma & Immune Research (a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization helping people with MCS), Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association member for over 55 years.
Past:  Co-incorporator of the Basenji Dog Fanciers of Arizona and the Scottsdale Pony Club and Vaulting Teams, Girl Scout Leader and Trainer, 4-H horse project sponsor, and Basenji Dog Rescue group.
